The office of the Nigerian president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has confirmed that a cabinet reshuffle would be undertaken anytime soon.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, revealed this to correspondents on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the country’s capital.
According to Onanuga, it is not certain whether the cabinet reshuffle would occur before October 1 or not, but he emphasised that it was expected to happen anytime soon.
Since Tinubu appointed his ministers in August last year, there have been clamour for cabinet reshuffle by some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Nigerians at large over poor performance by some Ministers.
The President had confirmed his plan to reshuffle his cabinet while he met with some leaders from the northern region of the country at the State House in Abuja.
